Epic Streak : A February Front-Loaded by Tokyo ! [2 Feb till 29 Feb 2024]

 Giant advertising agency Dentsu, purchased the day before the end-December dividend ex-date, was sold for a nearly 10% capital gain on the first market day after the Feb 1st Fed'l Territory holiday & together with a hiving of power monopoly Tenaga Nasional [ Tenaga] produced winners no. 18 & 19 for 866 days consecutively on the 2nd, handing off on Monday 5th Feb to two-timer TAS Offshore, which was sold at 60c. Scalp no. 126 of '23 Nomura, the largest investment bank in Japan, ran the next leg of the marathon for the 2nd time in 2 months with another partial sale at a price of ¥813.9, slightly higher than its 1998 low of ¥805, based on the risk of a former support turning into resistance when approached from the other direction. The next day witnessed the THIRD Japanese winner in a week with a realized gain of slightly over 6% on Katakura Industries, whose dividend was already secured, pairing up with a 55% gain via a 2nd round on Uzma in less than 3 months thereby bagging 22 winners by 7th Feb. Maiden scorer Sungei Bagan delivered a quartet of rounds on the 8th via a sale at close to a 19-year high of $4.84 before passing off the baton to #7 YTL Corp at $2.32 on the 9th:






After the Lunar New Year holiday on Monday the 12th, YTL resumed the record run with a 5th sale at $2.38 for 872 days consecutively. #19 Tenaga was sold above $11 for the first time, for a 2nd round on Valentine's Day, throwing the gauntlet back to #12 OSK Holdings for its own 2nd round on the 15th. Winner no.4 Kossan was sold a 4th time at $2.01 the next day to close out the week, before #17 Subur Tiasa was disposed a 2nd time at 87.5c the following Monday 19th Feb. YTL Corp was pared a 6th time on the 20th prior to KLCC Property/REIT [KLCC] becoming the 23rd scorer on the 21st for the first win since 2020, attaining 878 days in a row after securing 98 days consecutively when it last scored as #167 in tandem with Cheetah and Eastern & Oriental. Hexza, the 118th winner of '23, repeated as the new #24 on the 22nd and then handed over to Notion VTec, the 25th scorer, for a too-early sale at a 10% hike to secure the 880th consecutive day:






KLCC delivered a 2nd time on ex-dividend day, 26th February, before handing over to #7 YTL Corp for a 7th hiving at $2.54 on the 27th. Tokyo-listed Nihon ISK rounded up a quartet of Japanese winners in the shortest month of the year with a too delayed sale for a 12% return on investment after a December dividend, the 26th scalp reaching 883 days in a row, thence handing back to Tenaga for hat3rick sale at $11.26 for 884 days in a row AND 43 full months in the record streak!
