Incredible Streak : Nestlé Comes Through Twice in '25, out of just 3 times in the last Decade ! {11th Apr '25}
Counterintuitively, the stock of the local listed subsidiary of the Swiss food giant rose in the face of renewed global market selloffs today, breaching $80 in the opposite direction from its plunge through that round number mark on Mar 4th as it suffered a panic sell-off exacerbated by short-selling, down to a nadir of $61.80 sixteen days later.
Fortunately, my last minute averaging down at $62.24 on that fateful low point Thursday rewarded with a solo continuation on a too-early sale for a rare contra gain the next day while simultaneously pulling down my average to $76.80397 including commissions. Today, a 2nd helping from that act of bravery with a 60% sale of odd lots just below $79.60 allows me to beat a quarter-long record of 1,208 points at end '24 by one point & raises my cash holdings to almost $138,000, providing some stretching & breathing room in the face of tariff-ied markets!
