The Japanese switch from stop-high riser Kodama Chemical 児玉化学 on Dec 23rd pays off today: Rohmローム, a major semiconductor manufacturer listed in Tokyo, is finally sold after a patient queueing at ¥1,563 all morning long, obviating the need to worry about dystopian Trump tariffs on Japanese tech imports!
Meanwhile, Sumitomo Corporation becomes the FIRST Japanese ""sōgō shōsha " 総合商社 [& major Warren Buffett holding among the 5 major🎌 general trading companies ] to grace my portfolio as its stock tumbled by more than one commission, while my October-purchased Ellipsiz in S'pore[a former winner from Mar 2016] rose further after it soared, unbeknownst to me, yesterday on declaring a huge 5c dividend that translates to a nearly 20% yield even after the days' advances! It paid out S$70 in net dividends in '24 & I will now have to decide how much of the net paper gain of S$550+ [+46%] I wish to crystallize, or to hold past the 27th for a net S$370 in further payments from its treasury!!!
