Miraculous Streak : The FIRST EVER Foreign[Japanese] Stock Hat3rick ! 14 - 15/11/24

 Hot on the heels of Daiwa Heavy's hat3rick win going into its MBO takeover bid, Panasonic Holdings, the parent company of occasional local scorer Panasonic M'sia clinches the 12th consecutive annual Century by becoming the 100th winner of 2024, in tandem with 7th winner YTL Corporation, which was sold at $2.04 down to just 443 shares, to reach 1,066 days in a row. 

Late in the afternoon of the 14th, I discovered to my great delight that another takeover had been launched for a stock I had purchased about a fortnight before the Japanese market was caught off guard by the sudden violent unwinding of the yen carry trade that climaxed on Aug 5th with the Nikkei plummeting an unprecedented 4,451.28 points! Gantan Beauty Industry was courted by a suitor the day before after the market close for a nearly 39% premium to its closing price on the 12th & closed at its limit high of  ¥1,901, and on the 15th was sold for a few yen short of its highest of ¥2,081. Those Nipponese gamblers who chased its stock ramp to a peak of  ¥6,490 on 17th Apr '23 & ¥2,649 on 15th January '24, as well as those who bought throughout May & June last year plus the holders from early & late Sep '23 and also those who bought on the way down in Jan & Feb have their paper losses crystallized for good! Such is the capriciousness of the stockmarket!

Regardless, my first ever foreign winner hat3rick of consecutive days was joyfully bagged to reach 1,067 days consecutively in the marathon, not to mention the shortest ever duration between successive takeovers: 3 days! :
