28th Jan 2010: New Milestones in my two cash accounts!

My savings account balance breaches $30 000 for the first time ever, reaching $30 388.88, while on the day before, my current account balance breaches $10 000, reaching slightly over $10 200.

The former has seen an increase of 422% from the year-ago balance of $5 825 while the latter has at least doubled.

A great comfort in these days of correcting equity markets!

Incidentally, 2009 was a good year in the markets for me, when my three Singapore-based unit trusts(China, Vietnam and Japan) returned $2 669.82 nett of fees on an initial investment amount of S$9 400, representing a percentage return of 28.4%.
